Hemp Building -What a great weekend we had with Klara from the Australian Hemp Masonry Company. This was a first for WA and was well attended, I’m sure she will be back again! Its a great alternative to synthetic building materials, and has exceptional thermal properties. It’s an exciting time in the Hemp Industry in WA. We may see our first Hemp build here in the near future.Hemp Building WA, Matt and Phill, pictured looking good in our Hemp Polo’s! Finally, we have an Industrial Hemp Crop grown near Margaret River. Thanks to Glen for showing us round his first trial Crop. One hectare can build a house from the fibre stalks. Plus, the added protein from the seeds and flowers. Wonderful Plant.

The Forum meet on the 30th January to consider if hemp foods are safe for human consumption in Australia and New Zealand. They have till the 13th Feb for final decision, and are considering the following: 1. Law enforcement issues. 2. CBD levels. 3. Confused message to consumers about the acceptability and safety of cannabis.
Hemp has low CBD levels and the rest of the world, doesnt seem to have a problem!
Fingers crossed!
