No – today, you’re here because we’re sharing a few of our favorite gems. These are some simple, effective, natural, and most importantly, hemp seed oil-based skincare products that you can make yourself at home with ingredients that you can get from your local health food store.
We won’t get too into it, but if you want to get the full low-down on the benefits of hemp seed oil for the skin, head over to our other blog here!
Without further ado, here are your three new favourite homemade hemp skincare products.
Hemp seed oil is perfect for most skin types as it can moisturise without clogging your pores. It can even help balance out oily skin by hydrating it and regulating the skin’s oil production. We also include lavender oil because it reduces the appearance of blotchy skin and redness, soothes the skin, and works general wonders for irritation. The Apple Cider Vinegar in the masks is a well-known potion that comes from fermented apple cider. When fermented, the cider becomes acetic acid, which has a fantastic ability to stave off germs that can cause acne. The vinegar is an excellent addition to a mask or cleansing routine. We use mineral-loaded Bentonite clay for the mask to bring it all together, which offers calcium, magnesium, silica, sodium, copper, iron, and potassium; thus, you could quickly call it food for the skin. Not only does it enrich your skin with nutrients, but it also can draw out unwanted toxins and acne-causing sebum, which is a primary cause of acne breakouts.
But acne isn’t the only reason that you would want to use a clay mask. You may also want to make a bentonite clay mask to:
– Refresh your skin by removing dead skin
– Help clean your skin with bentonite clay for skin
– Promote younger-looking skin
– Even your skin tone
– Enrich your skin with nutrients
Here’s how you make it…
2 tbsp bentonite clay
3 drops lavender
¼ tsp apple cider vinegar
Rosewater or distilled water (as needed)
1 tsp hemp seed oil
Mix the hemp seed oil and rosewater with bentonite clay until it forms a smooth, wet paste.
Once that is done, add the other ingredients.
Apply the mask on your face, excluding your eyes and mouth.
Leave on until it hardens.
Wash off with warm water.
Note: We love to add Turmeric powder too, or can use to replace clay if wish.

Massage has many benefits, including improving circulation, easing tension, and stimulating the body to release toxins. And when massage is combined with aromatherapy, a happy synergy happens. The mind and body benefits of essential oils definitely enhance the benefits of massage.
In general, you need a carrier oil blend to mix with essential oils, which will then constitute the massage oil. We recommend Hemp Seed Oil and Sunflower because both non-greasy oils and are easily acquired.
As always, after diluting the essential oils in a carrier oil, be sure to do a patch test on a small section of skin to ensure you do not have an allergic reaction to any of these oils before slathering them on the body or face.
