What's more, it can be easily adapted to be gluten-free, making it a versatile dessert for everyone to enjoy.

📌 Ingredients

Filling:

  • 8 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced thinly
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • ⅔ cup coconut sugar
  • ¼ cup hemp seeds
  • 1 ½ tsp ground pure cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¾ tsp grated ginger
  • A pinch of nutmeg

Topping:

  • 1 cup gluten-free rolled oats
  • ½ cup almond meal
  • ¼ cup hemp seeds
  • ½ cup gluten-free flour
  • 1 cup coconut sugar
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (walnuts recommended)
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • 1 tsp ground pure cinnamon
  • ½ cup coconut oil

📌 Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the sliced apples.
  • Toss in all the remaining filling ingredients with the apples and mix well.
  • Transfer the apple mixture into a baking dish (approximately 9x13 inches).
  • In another bowl, mix together all the topping ingredients.
  • Evenly spread the topping over the apple mixture.
  • Bake for approximately 1 hour, or until the filling is cooked through (check with a knife).
  • Serve with a dollop of coconut yogurt for an extra creamy touch!
